I'm placing this in humor instead of creative writing. It is a copy of an actual letter that I wrote to the local Christian radio station during their letter month. The kitty who "wrote the letter" has since gone as to his reward as has his sidekick and companion Rabbi Grizzleberg but the letter is still on the humorous side.
Several years ago the local Christian station was wanting everyone to write in during letter month and during an appeal to people to write the station manager put out an announcement for your pets to write- "well, not your pets" he continued but it was too late:
Here is the letter I sent the station:
Dear WRVM:
I heard your announcement to write and in that I have never written before thought I would take the opportunity to do so. I board with a family here in the state and although we don't speak the same language we do share a common love of the Creator. The lady of the house leaves the station on often even over night which means I get to listen in overnight. This is nice since I am a noctural individual by nature.
You asked my favorite programs. I love the nature corner program where animals share their love of the Creator and also the Lutheran Hour. Knowing that the one I am named after would be appalled at having a program so named after him, it surprised me that I heard the program. I do like the program though.
You're doing a good job and I thank you for being there.
Herr Martin Luther
P.S. In the beginning of my letter I indicated that I don't speak the same language as the people in where I board. Indeed, I am the pastor of a feline family here in the city.
(to the station manager: think back to your announcement- you asked for this one)
