Recipe for kiechles
These are my Mom's most favorite cookies , They aren't butter cookies.. but contents less fat and sugar, So... you can eat few of them without feeling any guilt :-) You'll get many cookies out of this recipe- Egg Kichel ÷éçìê 3 eggs 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup granulated sugar 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour (I put 1 more cup) 1/4 teasthingy salt 1 tablesthingy baking powder (=10gr) Preheat oven to 350 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a mixer, beat the eggs, oil and sugar until light and voluminous - about five minutes. Fold in flour, salt and baking powder. [Full recipe and Here ] Adding as little flour as possible, roll dough to a thickness of between 1/8 and 1/4 inch. Cut into circles, diamonds or squares. Transfer to prepared baking sheet and bake until lightly browned (25-30 minutes). Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of sugar mixed with 1 teasthingy cinnamon before baking if you want to make them sweet and spicy. NOTES : Kichel is a classic Jewish cookie (after poppy seed cookies).
