A mechanic had a dog whom he very much loved. His dog's name was Mace and Mace had a bad habit. Instead of digging up the grass he ate the grass and bared the yard. He found he had to keep Mace in the house to keep any grass on the yard but also discovered he wasn't the best at keeping the lawn mowed so at times the grass got rather tall. One summer evening when the grass had grown quite high, the mechanic dropped a tool in the deep grass. The mechanic looked for his tool to no avail so since it was getting dark, gave up and went into the house. He didn't see Mace make a dash for the outside as he headed up the stairs to go to bed. The next morning as he looked outside and saw his tool shining in the sun he broke into song as he went to the door to get Mace. "A grazing Mace, how sweet the hound, that found my wrench for me"
