What is the exact meaning of binding and loosing? Are we as believers supposed to be doing it [I've done it countless times in my prayers!] What does the bible say about it. There are numerous books written about [resulting in lots and lots of money for the authors] I'm attanding a prayer group [pentecostals] and the leader is really, really into the books by a Liberty Savard. I had never heard about her previously. But me, being me, I really don't just jump on the popular bandwagon of the day and go headlong into man's teaching. Thanks in advance for your answer, Rabbi, and please, if anyone else has imput re. the question; feel free. Shalom, Cheryl

Yeshua gave the apostles the power to forgive sins and bind or loose anything on earth. The problem arises when people use it n exorcism , I have seen it used in reverse when they bind the bad spirit, you don't bind the demon you loosen the the person from his grips. these are powers we have in his name that we have to be careful with, Just like the power to curse and bring down fire, these are things that we must have direct consul from the holy Spirit.

Interesting way of phrasing things... you free the host not (necessarily/only) bind the evil spirit. That is something that many miss and that I will have to keep in mind.
Thanks for the question Cheryl and the answer Aleph.
