this maybe a request for prayer that maybe sound odd since as parents we teach our kids to be independant. My Son in law and daughter told my wife yesterday that he has put in a resume for a job back in upstate Ny in Corning and maybe moving come April. My wife was upset by the news because this means no more grand kids around all the time. We have grown very close to the grandchildren and now to have them move nearly 3000 miles away is upsetting. The reason it is so upsetting is because we really cannot afford to travel over that way which means it could be years between seeing them. My daughter wishes we would move with them back to NY but it simply is not possible for we own this house and it is far from likely we could sell it and pay off our mortgage and go. The ideal situation would be to buy a summer home and go to the place in the summer time BUT traveling that distance is very expensive. Another problem would be the climate there ""high humidity, wet, is cripplimng to me with my arthritis in my back hands and knees and weather there would cripple me again this is why we moved to this dry climate so I could be human again. My wife was in tears last night over the possible loss of ability to see the grandchildren all the time. My teenage daughter is upset about thoughts of moving back to Ny and her loss of friemnds and my teenage son has similiar feelings. I myself have mixed feelings see NY is still home in my heart to me BUT NM has made me feel a lot better and I really do not wish to lave it except maybe for summer visits to NY.

They have now moved up their time schedule to March, They are leaving Nm heading to NY with no place in sight to live when they get there. Me and my wife are deeply concerned never mind not seeing the grand kinds like we do now and it maybe years between seeing them for we cannot afford to up and travel to NY for visits.

I will be keeping your family in my prayers. I'm so sorry to hear this and since I live close to Corning now I can tell you things are not easy over here in NY. The weather has been extremely rough this winter and the economy is hitting us bad. I will continue to pray and hope for things to work out.

sorry it took me so long to post. They were doing construction on 17 but it's not too bad last time I've been down there. Gas is between $1.70-1.80 a gallon now prices are slowly rising. Food costs are high I shop at save alot's or aldi's... I spend 160.00 every two weeks and we barely make it. Milk is almost at $4.00 a gallon depending on where you go. I always complain about food prices. Depending on what county you live taxes are going up for us it went from 7.12 to 7.5% tax. AllI have to say is that I'm letting the Lord lead me and see if we stay or go ourselves. I hope that helps...
