I will be having my right knee replaced on April 8 and I would appreciate prayers. I am not afraid of surgery, but am not looking forward to the pain and physiotherapy afterwards. I know pretty well what to expect from previous athroplasty on that knee. This will, of course, be quite a bit more surgery. My husband takes good care of me, except the last time I had the knee surgery, he tried to make pizza for dinner for me. He decided to do it in the oven instead of the microwave. I got served pizza with burned plastic on the top and bottom. He didn't realize that he had to take the plastic off the pizza before he put it in the oven! I'm NEVER going to let him live that one down . He was trying. Also my sister is coming out to help me.......I think she needs this more than I do, but we always enjoy being together. Then April 29 my grandson is flying out and will stay until we head for Calif. the end of June to see his sister graduate from high school. Anyway, whenever you think of me, please send up a little prayer for strength and courage to keep doing all that I need to do to get back to what I need to be. Also, our grandson is having some problems. Please pray that he will be receptive and that God will give me wisdom for him. I think you all know what I think of Truthkeepers Prayer Warriors and how I value your prayers. I love you all. jackiedee

Surgery is over. I'm home with ONE SORE KNEE, but getting up and around and each day is getting a little better than the day before. Hope I never have to go through this again, but so far have survived and beginning to feel like I am actually on the downhill sides. Thanks so much for holding me up in prayer. You guys are my forever family. I love you all. jackiedee

I am doing great, Aleph. Thank you for asking. It is still very painful, but I can see improvement with each exercise session (3x/day). I have pain pills and am gradually stretching them out. I was supposed to have the staples out yesterday, but Denver area had quite a snowstorm yesterday. We had deep snow and roads closed all around us but, believe it or not, we didn't have a single flake of snow here.....just rain. Anyway, we put the appointment off until Monday. I was amazed. Interstate 80 to the north of us was closed from Cheyenne to Rawlins, Wy. Interstate 70 to the south of us was closed from Golden to Vail. Interstate 25 that joins both of these was closed off and on. Our son at 9000 feet elevation had 3 feet of snow this morning. We are at 5000 ft, and had none. I am recovering right on schedule. It is NOT an easy surgery, but I can see improvement every day. I really appreciate the concern and prayers. jackiedee

Oh, and my sister arrived right on schedule on Wed. with the storm hot on her heels all the way, but she beat it. We are enjoying being together. Her granddaughter who is struggling with anorexia could still use prayer.
